Frequently Asked Questions
Why is linen such a great fabric choice for clothing?
Linen clothing creates a natural, earthy and comfortable feel. This breathable, moisture-wicking material makes it ideal for cool summer clothing, while its efficient heat retention makes it good for winter too. This truly sustainable product starts by growing in a field and its processing gives little to no waste materials.
Linen gets better with use, becoming softer and silkier over time. It can be crisp, while having a beautiful drape and typically is woven with that signature linen texture. It also has a natural lustre, which makes it more dimensional.
It is completely biodegradable, which means that in the end of your beloved linen garments life cycle, you can cut it up and bury the pieces in your garden. Over time it will decompose and become part of the earth again.
Why is linen so expensive?
Linen is cloth woven or spun from 100% flax fibre. The cultivation of flax plants are extremely costly and it’s more difficult to spin. These more labour intensive stages during linen’s production process makes this natural fibre fabric rather high priced and therefore it is considered a luxury fabric at a premium price.
Why is Ecovero viscose such a great fabric choice for clothing?
Ecovero viscose is a strong fabric choice, because it combines comfort and performance with a lower environmental impact than conventional viscose.
It is made from responsibly sourced wood pulp, uses less water and energy during production and follows stricter chemical management standards.
The fabric is soft, breathable, drapes well and absorbs dye effectively, making it both comfortable to wear and visually appealing.
It is also biodegradable, which helps reduce its environmental footprint at the end of its life.
What if I am unsure about my size?
If you are unsure about your size, please contact us by providing your bust, waist and hip circumference in centimetres. Use a tape measure and measure around your body without pulling it too tight, nor holding your breath.
Measure bust and hip at its fullest/widest part. Measure waist in circumference in line with naval. Also tell us what garment you are looking at to purchase and whether you would want it to fit loosely, just right or rather snug.
How do I care for the garments?
Wash linen & Ecovero viscose clothing in cool water. Do not tumble dry and iron while slightly damp for best results. Although all fabric gets pre-washed, avoid washing in hot water, as it may result to shrinkage of your garment due to it been made from natural fibres.
